Over the years the techniques  used in both design and manufacture has changed considerably, to keep up with these changes Fairfax has invested heavily and now boasts,  design office, work and finishing shops employing

  • Design software, enabling the actual item to be constructed  on screen . The end result is a true 3D photo image presentation with full dimensioned plan and perspective drawings.
  • AlphaCAM is a comprehensive CAD/CAM System used to manufacture all  types of components fully integrated and connected to our CNC machines.
  • Having two CNC machine centres , the most exacting production of panels and components  can be achieved, from quantities of one to hundreds  all items remain within the very tight tolerances ensuring precise assembly of machined parts.

With the addition of an assortment of wood turning, panel dimensioning  and moulding machines linked with our fully equipped finishing shop. Fairfax is happy to undertake projects from single component through to fully finished cabinet work

The much acclaimed Star Base & Bliss Hi Fi and Audio Visual Support Systems

One of our on going contracts, the star base is manufactured from 30mm, MDF finished in graphite or metallic silver two part acid catalysed lacquer.

   

City Hall London

During the construction of this futuristic building, it was found necessary to use precise radius wall templates to enable the installation of all curved internal walls. These templates numbering many hundreds of many differing radius were machined and supplied by fairfax.

Luggage Rack, Beverage Bar, Conference Box

Another of our ongoing contracts, these items were designed and now manufactured  for the
Hotel industry , we also manufacture , tea trays, waste bins, free standing dressing mirrors and many other items, linked with our design and manufacture service, this enables our client to add many un-available items to their portfolio 

 

 

Refurbishment at Westminster Palace

After contacting several wood carvers for replacement of fret door panels, (without success). The contractor contacted Fairfax.

From a sample door an exact CAD drawing was produced, then a CNC program was
Written. The photo is of the first test panel as taken from the machine bed.

The production panels, twenty-four in number with four different styles were machined from Teak, supplied ready for final hand finishing

 

Monitor Cabinet

Manufactured  from MDF requiring very tight tolerances, finished in a matt black textured lacquer

Unique wall mounted chess cabinet

With Playing board stored and displayed at back of chess set

This contract was manufactured for export to Germany
